Russian sock puppet addresses USA congress

BLUF: A lot of noise is made and targets pointed out by the president of the USA; a clear layout of all the things that USA citizens should be afraid of and a few cracks in the mask showing the underlying goal of the current president: expand the USA mainland to control the North American Continent through the use of hyper-nationalism inspired by the current Russian president and at the cost of all else. Meanwhile the Democratic party will hold small signs in a pretty sad looking protest making no impact on any decisions made by the sitting administration.

The president of the USA addressed their congress on 5 Mar 2025 and entered the chambers to cheers, chants and clapping from their supporters who remained rambunctious throughout the speech. Mere minutes into Donald's congratulations of themself Sen Al Green was ordered to be removed by Speaker Johnson, the SGT at arms escorted Green from the chamber while Donald smirked and their supporters chanted "USA, USA, USA" as if being possessed by Homer Simpson himself.

Donald continued the speech following their rally talking points that people are entering the country from "insane asylums". ANALYSIS: it is likely given previous uses of these phases and ongoing rhetoric about "the late great, Hannibal Lecter" that Donald does not understand that asylum seekers (refugees) are not the same as people that have been locked away in old timey insane asylums of the USA, as represented recently in the movie 'Joker: Folie à Deux'. Donald has previously demonstrated awareness of criticisms leveled at knowledge gaps and addressed the shortfall but; given the length of time this talking point has been used it is not likely that Donald will redress this mistake.

Donald took a moment to address house Democrats to ask them to work together in order to "make America great again" with little response from the party aside from their holding of signs admonishing aspects of the presidential administration. ANALYSIS: Democrats have thus far been unable to effectively counter Donald's talking points, policy or presidential orders; with very little of their voices being heard around the globe. It is very unlikely for this position to change over the next six to twelve months without some kind of drastic leadership change the party will continue with hollow attempts to combat the Republican party wins in the public consciousness and passing of legislation.

The speech continued with reaffirmations of the: freeze to foreign aide, federal hiring and implementations of new federal regulations; withdrawals from the Paris climate accord, "corrupt" WHO, UN human rights council. Donald went on to complain about being prosecuted for his crimes, claimed to have brought free speech back to the USA and renamed the Gulf of Mexico. COMMENT: Mexican president also claimed previously to have renamed the USA to 'Mexican America' demonstrating the international view of name changing parts of the world outside of a countries area of control.

A sharp turn occurred where Donald began focusing less on their perceived achievements to make the statement they have "ended the tyranny of so called diversity equity and inclusion policies all across the entire federal government, private sector and indeed our military." "Our country will be woke no longer". Donald went on to reaffirm that there are only 2 genders male and female. ANALYSIS: language and action interpretation seem to hint that the DEI exclusion is aimed at keeping people of colour and women out of positions of power allowing for further centralisation of power to the capitalist oligarch of America; it is assessed that the term "woke" is now being used in place of "empathy" while also signalling to the support base that their best interest is front of mind for the president. The administration's ongoing focus on gender, DEI and woke; is a probable deflection to the public and media to shift focus away from the ongoing exploits of the government and inflame an aggressive response onto disenfranchised communities; the demonstration of the word 'woke' and its shift in meaning from 'left' to 'empathy' allows the support base to wash away any concerns that these actions could misalign with their Christian identity.

At this point Donald began bringing out paid supporters of right wing media; starting with Peyton Mcnabb a 'paralysed' anti-trans activist whom was asked to stand to a round of applause, Peyton seemed to stand without issue despite her claims of serious injury from a volleyball match with a trans athlete. COMMENT: It should be noted that Volleyball at a recreational level is historically non-gendered and often has mixed gender persons playing with and against each other. Regardless of these claims there is footage of Peyton blocking a ball with her face but no verified sources can confirm any serious injuries or any evidence that the ball was delivered to Peyton from a trans athlete. ANALYSIS: ongoing claims from Donald and their party that follow anti-trans rhetoric and 'common sense' give a strong indication that they believe women are lesser beings than men requiring protection from the volleyball court to the bathrooms. Their view is the only people who can protect women is the person with a huge history of sexual assault allegations; whom was found guilty of the sexual assault of E. Jean Carroll, which is equivalent to rape in most other parts of the world.

Donald went on to congratulate DOGE and unironically talks through the finding of incompetence in the government, during all this the supporters of Donald would regularly clap, cheer and stand, really extending the address much longer than needed. Following the congratulations of Elon Musk an co Donald states "the days of rule by unelected bureaucrats is over".

There was a brief hiatus of self flagellation where Donald talk about some positives that will actually help their voters, this being no tax on overtime pay; tips or; social security for seniors. This was followed by an assertion that loan repayments on new USA made cars would be tax deductible.

This positive for average people of the USA was quickly undercut by talk of tariffs with Donald stating "its terrible how we have been treated". This was followed by a claim that the tariffs will increase based on any tariffs that are placed on the USA. Farmers were also 'encouraged' to sell their crops in the home market because "other countries crops are dirty and disgusting". ANALYSIS: it is possible given the meek an sad tone used during this section that Donald does not understand what a trade deficit is, however it is much more likely that this is another tactic by the administration to allow its support base to feel free of guilt over starting a trade war with the traditional allies of the USA, it should be noted that at the time of writing the DOW Jones is down 5.24% in the last month.

Melania Trump made another appearance as the speech moved to the revenge porn law known as the 'Take it down Act' which is being passed through the house at the moment, this again is another win for average citizens of the USA but was again quickly undercut by Donald stating that they need this law as no one gets gets treated online worse than them.

Donald then moved on to migrants in the USA (note: not the rich ones, not the white ones, not the original ones that displaced native Americans), the speech covered the Laken Riley murder; cartels controlling all of Mexico and how the USA will wage war on the cartels. ANALYSIS: this is a reinforcement of previous fears around migrant crime, we do not currently have accurate numbers on homicide by migrants compared to USA born citizens though it should be noted that the USA homicide rate has been consistently reducing for a number of years. Rhetoric about Mexican cartels is possibly designed to give legitimacy to USA intervention in Mexico while also aligning Mexican elected officials with Cartels despite a historic relationship and cooperation with the US government. It is possible that this will be used in the future to further fuel American expansionism that has been currently focussing on Canada, Greenland and Panama.

A 15 year old is focused on for his wish to become a police officer and is inducted into the Secret Service while Republicans chant his name repeatedly. Donald speaks about the boys brain cancer and how it was possibly caused by chemicals when he was younger. COMMENT: the USA has a long history of allowing large organisations to poison their citizens without punishment as long as the corporations are making money, current policy plans appear to be removing the few protections that currently exist for USA citizens.

Donald then called on the Secretary of health Robert F Kennedy Jr, the camera cuts to RFK in the above pose, this occurs twice where RFK praises Donald in return for the acknowledgement. Analysts at Paper Dead are slightly divided by this pose as it is not as direct or obvious as Elon's previous salute or indeed Steve Bannon's salute in Feb 2025; on balance we err on the side of caution and an awkward camera angle; that RFKs gesture is indeed a simple static wave of acknowledgement.

Donald then Circles back to a gender focus and makes claims that a school had secretly transitioned a 13 year old without the knowledge of their parents. January Littlejohn the mother in this incident was asked to stand and again praised by Republicans. COMMENT: it has been been shown that January was aware that her child was non-binary and had been working with the school in question before filing a lawsuit and joining the book burning organisation 'Moms for Liberty'

At this point Paper Dead analysts became frustrated with the ongoing standing ovations and began to time them, the interruptions would last an average of 15 seconds with 25 second reprieve for Donald to talk, calculated for a 90 minute address we estimate 135 standing ovations throughout. It is so shit to watch.

The speech then aims towards expansionism with Panama first on the chopping block, Donald claims that they are taking back the Panama Canal and that it has already started. The claim is made that the Canal was built with "American blood" and that 38,000 workers died building the Canal. COMMENT: though the loss of life is roughly accurate in total the USA portion of workers that died stands at 5,600 people.

Donald then looked to Greenland with some conciliatory statements that they have the right to join the USA if they want to but quickly stated that will get Greenland one way or another. On the Russo-Ukraine war Donald stated that "millions of Ukrainians and Russians have been needlessly killed" and that the USA is working tirelessly to bring the war to an end. The Speech then moved towards the EU briefly where it was stated that the USA had spent $360 billion on the war (false) and that the EU wasn't helping nearly as much as the USA (false). ANALYSIS: This fits with previous expansionism rhetoric and demonstrates a strong desire for the USA to expand its borders beyond its current mainland and extensive vassal states that the country already controls. Along with the USA alignment to Moscow and statements that Ukraine started the war with Russian it is likely that Donald seeks to emulate Putin for their own expansion and ongoing control of the country beyond what is typically legal with a USA president.

Donald approaches the end of their speech talking about the Pennsylvania assassination attempt and brings out the wife and children of Corey Comperatore (deceased victim at the rally) as the expected standing ovation continues the two daughters look extremely uncomfortable, the daughters also fall well outside of conservative stereotypes sporting tattoos and septum piercings; one couldn't help but think they would insulted by typical MAGA supporters at Donald's previous open air events.

Donald hits their final high notes of the speech covering off with manifest destiny, again with no mention of the indigenous people killed or displaced by American settlers. They then gave the "Fight, fight, fight" incantation of Steve Bannon on 23 Feb 2025 though this time without the Nazi Salute. ANALYSIS: these final talking points are likely huge dog whistles to the initiated loyalist echoing the fascist drive of the far right regime; and hinting to the repeat manifest destiny of invading foreign lands with the expected genocide. These hints lead a bright and obvious target that Donald has called out throughout their term; Greenland; Panama; Gaza,; Canada and now Mexico; while delivering a bold statement for the loyalist 'fuck everyone in the way'. Genocide is not just supported by the Donald regime but it is a goal.
